More than a gifted lyrical duo, Killer Mike and El-P’s work as Run the Jewels expanded the tenets of classic hip-hop with a topical edge and reverence for its roots. Bonded by bass-heavy beats, the emcees mix influence and attitude from their respective home cities with sharp critiques on social dynamics, systems, and an ongoing quest for justice.
Inspired by their most recent albums RTJ3 and RTJ4, the group worked with Nike SB on a duo of Dunks that expand their story through the silhouettes they’ve had a longtime affinity for.
Dropping on Killer Mike’s birthday, the Nike SB Dunk Low Run the Jewels features tonal blue suede with loud Active Pink Swooshes, three lace options, and a translucent blue midsole/outsole with custom Run the Jewels art underneath. Along with hits of gold branding, the Run the Jewels Dunk Low features several nods to the duo, including custom insole art along the Zoom bags.
